At the foot of the medieval castle, an enchanted river draws us into its into its world. Here, it’s all about playing with an element with real “character”! What’s more, this isolated site lends itself to regular stops nature, revealing the treasures hidden here, a kind of of indescribable magic!
The 4 to 5 hours of intensive navigation require teamwork, with everyone giving their best to succeed. The succession of varied rapids over 25 km makes the Guil an exceptional river.
The sensations and emotions are manifold.
In this wild part of the Queyras, where hikers love to come back and explore the trails, conquering the Guil is both a challenge and a special way to connect with the element for those who are drawn to water and nature. Until now, only a handful of kayakers from all over Europe have been able to experience these unforgettable moments and the beauty of the gorges.
The steep cliffs give the area a sense of adventure and a complete change of scenery. Time stands still. Birds (wagtails, dippers) seem to be playing to show off their territory, while birds of prey soar over the mountains in the distance. The variety of rocks, both in structure and colour, makes this part of Queyras a coveted spot for geologists. The famous gnomes have also taken up residence here, so watch out for your paddles!
It’s in the Queyras valley, on the banks of this river, that the passionate Quey’raft team has set up its little chalet to welcome you in a warm atmosphere and with professional expertise.

The Guil Rodeo
An athletic trip featuring an uninterrupted series of beautiful rapids over a period of 1h30 hours.

Duration: 1 hour 45 minutes
Period: May to October
The Integral
A complete trip including all the best sections of the Guil.

FURTHER INFORMATION
All equipment is provided (wetsuit, helmet, paddle, boat, neoprene socks).
All you need is your swimsuit, a pair of shoes that can get wet (any old sneaker is great) and your best smile !
Our equipment has been specially designed for the specific characteristics of the River Guil. The dimensions of the Rafts and MonoRafts have been increased for greater stability.
